Listen to health commentators, and it sounds like we’re in a health crisis. In some respects we are: rapidly rising numbers of serious health conditions, an under-resourced public health sector, GPs under huge pressure, an aging population - the list goes on. There’s nothing we can do about it, right? Wrong.
Dr David Beaumont is a breath of fresh air, and is helping individuals, employers and GPs around New Zealand and the world to do something additional - and quite powerful - about these problems. He is the author of the award-winning book Positive Medicine: Disrupting the Future of Medical Practice. He is a Consultant Occupational Physician, a doctor who specialises in the health of workers. He supports a number of major New Zealand employers. He is a former President of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
This is a podcast episode that will give you a fresh perspective on the things you CAN do about your health, including some very practical steps you can take.
Let’s hear from David.
